Dublin History

Officially Dublin was established in 988 A.D. as a coin was issued in 1988 commemorating 1,000 years of history.The early settlers were Vikings and many artefacts, old walls and buildings have been uncovered on the first site on the River Liffey at Wood Quay near the City Centre.
